The Lord’s Prayer For Kids
Here is the Lord’s prayer for kids taken from Matthew 6: 9-13
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

- Order-Up Game: Write each line of the prayer on a strip of paper, scramble them, then challenge kids to put them in the correct order as a team.
- Prayer Hands or Door Hanger Craft: For younger children: trace their hands, write one line of the prayer on each finger, decorate, and use it as a reminder. Or make a door hanger with the full prayer. This video shows how to make prayer hands then you can simply write the Lord’s prayer for kids inside the prayer hands instead of another prayer.
- Role-Play / Skit: Let kids act out parts of the prayer — e.g., “Give us our daily bread” might be sharing food with a friend; “Forgive us our wrongs” could be a scene of saying sorry and forgiving. One person or group could act out the section of the prayer while the other group of persons guess what section of the prayer it is.

- Let’s Pray Together: You can prayer together the Lord’s prayer as you do your daily activities
- Challenge for This Week: As you teach the Lord’s prayer for kids you could have a challenge where kids would have to memorize one line of the Lord’s Prayer each day of the week and make a small drawing of what that line means to you.
